Esscrito al dorso: "PANTHEONS OF BRITISH ART. Neither the war nor the damage wich the Royal Academy has suffered from German bombs is going to prevent the holding of the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy this year. It will be held, as it has been held every year since the foundationof the Academy in 1768, on the first Monday in May at Burlinghton House. Already artists, many of whom hace joined the fighting Forces, the Civil Defence or Air Raid Precautions services, are taking their work to the Academy to be selected for hanging or rejected, by a Committe presided over by the Academy´s President, the well known architect, Sir Edwin Lutyens. One of the contributors, Leadin Aricraftsman Fosdike is seen here with two of the pictures he is submitting to the Exhibition. THIS PHOTOGRAPH HAS BEEN PASSED BY THE CENSOR. Obra de arte (ATT)
