| Escrito en el dorso: "NON-COPYRIGHT. The Summer Exhibition of the Royal Academy of Arts just opened in Burlington House, Piccadilly, London. The war has had no effect on this annual artistic event, except thay it has inspired several pictures and put many of the artist into uniform. The Royal Academy of Arts was founded in 1768, and since then it has increased generation by generation in importance until it is now the accepted headquarters of British art. For an artist to hace a picture hung in the Royal Academy is to ensure his success. A general view in one of the galleries at the Summer Exhibition. This picture has taken at the Private View, when the artist, art critics and their friends gather together before the Exhibition opens for the general public. THIS PHOTOGRAPH HAS BEEN PASSED BY THE CENSOR." | |
