| Escrito al dorso: "SAFETY IN SHELTERS. Anderson air raid shelters, supllied free by the Goverment to every family in England earning less than five pounds a week, have by now become a part of everyday life.
This picture shows one shelter with vegetables growning above it, and another shelter as it appeared the morning after an air attack. The family who live in the bungalow in the right hand picture went to their shelter when the sirens sounded, and slept on camp beds inside it, until a bomb burnsting close to it completely destroyed their bungalow. Scores of lives have alredy been saved by these Anderson shelters. THIS PHOTOGRAPH HAS BEEN PASSED BY THE CENSOR." | |
