necessary to make Britain her cities, towns and village worthy of the
men and women who defended her. At the Liverpool School of
Architecture, the country´s oldest and best - known architectural college,
a young generation of ambitious and able town planners is being trained
to do the work of reconstruction when the times arrives. There are now
over 100 students (about 10% are women) who take the Civil Design
course dealing with town planning; it extends (together with connected
courses) over five years and leads to a Degree or a Diploma of
ARchitecture.
