| Escrito al dorso: "THE BEST KNOWN ROYAL TREES IN THE WORLD.
A picture of the famous avenue of elms leading down to one of the State
entrances to the Royal Apartments of Windsor. For hundreds of years,
British sovereigns have driven in state down this beautiful avenue.
Though the King has given instructions for as much timber as possible
to be felled on his many estates, these trees will, of course, be spared.
The King has given this lead to great land-owners all over England and
the timber which results from this feeling will be used to help Britain´s
war effort.
THIS PHOTOGRAPH HAS BEEN PASSED BY THE CENSORSHIP." | |
