Britain´s national flag is the Union Jack, which apprears in the corner of the White Ensign which is the particular flag of the Royal Navy. Flown by Lord Nelson from all his ships at the Battle of the Nile, it is made up of the flaf of Great Britain placed in one corner of the old flag of England, the red cross of St. George on a white field.
Under the White Ensigne the British Navy has sailed into all those splendid actions that make uo its story in the past hundred years.
